Material Guide

We are proud to produce our socks in China, but are also proud of the Italian craftsmanship and quality materials we use in our socks.

To ensure long-lasting comfort all day long, here is a little care guide on how to give your socks the love they deserve.

1. Mercerized cotton

  • Mercerized cotton socks are the most mainstream business socks today.
  • The main raw material of mercerized cotton socks is singed mercerized cotton yarn.
  • The high-quality socks made of this raw material not only fully retain the excellent natural characteristics of the original cotton, but also have a silky luster.
  • They are thinner and lighter than ordinary cotton fabrics, and the fabric feels soft, is moisture-absorbent and breathable, and has a good drape.
  • The fabric is refreshing, comfortable, soft, has good moisture absorption and breathability, and has excellent glossiness.
  • The patterns are rich, comfortable and casual to wear, fully reflecting the wearer's temperament and taste.

2. Egyptian Cotton

  • Egyptian cotton is characterized by its long pile.
  • The socks made from it are soft, breathable and durable, making them a must-have for everyday wear.
  • They provide all-day comfort while absorbing moisture to keep your feet fresh.
  • As long as they are properly maintained, Egyptian cotton socks can maintain their quality and shape for a long time.

3. Merino Wool

  • Merino Wool socks are a great choice for warmth, breathability, and durability.
  • Unlike synthetic materials, wool naturally regulates temperature, wicks moisture, and resists odor.
  • With proper care, they can last for years while maintaining their comfort and performance.

4. Cashmere

  • Cashmere socks offer unparalleled softness, warmth and elegance.
  • Made from premium natural fibres, cashmere socks offer the ultimate in comfort and warmth without the bulk.
  • However, cashmere is very delicate and requires special care to maintain its soft touch and longevity.

5. Gold and silver thread

  • Gold and silver thread socks are made by adding gold and silver threads during the knitting process.
  • These threads make the socks shine with a unique luster under the light, adding a sense of fashion and luxury.
  • The materials of gold and silver thread socks usually include cotton, silk, etc., which ensures the comfort and durability of wearing and is suitable for wearing on various occasions.

6. Silk

  • Silk socks are lightweight, breathable, lustrous, and silky, giving them a luxurious feel.
  • Known for their softness and temperature-regulating properties, silk socks bring elegance and comfort to the wearer, whether with casual or formal wear.
  • With proper care, silk socks will retain their beauty and durability for many years.

Caring for your socks

  • During the manufacturing process of the Tomoz Echo, threads may stick out from between the toes in the socks.
  • However, these threads are not a defect; they strengthen the structure of the sock and help maintain the durability of the sock.
  • We recommend leaving these threads as cutting them may cause holes and weaken the integrity of the sock.

Washing

1. Turning socks inside out prevents rubbing and prolongs their life. You can find specific washing instructions on the care card for each product.
2. Machine wash on a gentle cycle in warm or cold water.
3. Make sure to wash dark colors separately.
4. Wash in a laundry net with mild soap; do not use bleach or fabric softener.
5. Hand washing is also kinder to your clothes than machine washing. When using a machine wash, you can almost always wash cooler and more gently than recommended on the care card, which is also kinder to your clothes and the earth.

For delicates, we recommend washing your clothes in a laundry net to prevent them from getting caught on door seals, hooks, and zippers on other clothes.

Tumble dry

You can tumble dry at low temperature, but the best way to dry Tomoz Echo socks is to air dry in the shade. Always follow the care instructions for each material.

For wool or cashmere socks, use water below 30°C, soak for no more than 5 minutes with a dedicated detergent, and wash gently by hand. Washing at high temperatures or using a dryer may cause shrinkage, so avoid using a dryer and instead dry in the shade.

Storage

Folding your socks may not seem important, but if you don't take good care of them, they can become overstretched, misshapen, and uncomfortable over time. Folding your socks properly will help extend the life of your socks and keep you stylish.

Here are some tips for folding socks to keep them in great shape and maximize the space in your sock drawer!

・ Lay both socks flat on a flat surface, one on top of the other.
・ Grab both socks by the cuffs and fold them in half so the cuffs are over your toes.
* Always keep socks together and fold them into different sections depending on their length.
